Join Our Unique Mentoring Process NetMentors.Org is a nonprofit organization that helps students develop career aspirations by enlisting the support of experienced industry professionals entirely through the Internet. The unique product of NetMentors.Org is a self-managed career development tool that introduces young people to arts, business, legal, science, and technology careers. Our program connects junior high and high school students with hundreds of experienced professionals who provide advice, field questions, and assist the students. Students may logon to our website from any Internet capable computer and communicate with mentors experienced in the student's career of interests. Through our program, we provide a realistic, comprehensive view of multiple careers, and assist the young person in investigating and understanding those careers.  This innovative means of connecting mentoring and technology complements existing mentor programs and traditional career education.  To learn more about School Shares, click here.

The Net Mentors, Inc. School Shares Program is a unique three-tiered plan to build education-based alliances and realize our mission. Through School Shares, schools can support the career development of youth by student outreach, employee volunteerism, and consulting services.

1. Student Outreach

The success of our entire program rests with out ultimate customer, the students.  If the skills and talents of our NetMentors are not utilized by the students, then we have no reason for being.  We rely on our School Shares members to assist us in reaching out to junior high and high school students.  Through alliances with guidance counselors, teachers, and administrators, we will work to voice our program and its benefits to students nationwide.

2. Employee Volunteerism

Skilled professionals are crucial to supporting our mission of mentoring students. By marketing Net Mentors to a school's own employees through internal communications methods, we gain the invaluable resource of recruiting new volunteers and NetMentors to serve our students.

3. Consulting Services

Consulting Services include volunteer involvement of your employees in our planning and design process for business operations including technology development, marketing programs, and business processes.
